Therefore?
editThe first sentence in the second paragraph seemed illogical, or at least very ambigous:
Yu Keng's daughters Der Ling and Rong Ling (the future Madame Dan Paochao of Beijing) therefore got a western education, having studied dance in Paris with Isadora Duncan.
I guess the 'therefore' points back to the fact of Yu Keng living in Paris, but it could (grammatically) be taken to refer to his death. Also, I assume the girls' western education was due to Yu Keng's stay in Paris and that dancing was a part of the girls' education, not a cause or explanation for it. I propose changing it to:
Yu Keng brought his daughters, Der Ling and Rong Ling (the future Madame Dan Paochao of Beijing), to stay with him in Paris. There they received a western education. They studied dance with Isadora Duncan.
I feel this is clearer, but I'm not sure if this means exactly the same. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.126.207.212 (talk) 15:48, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Fake princess
editIt is definitely impossible for a member of Manchu Plain White Banner Corps to become a princess. His father was an official but not a lord. Yu Derling was a woman of vanity and almost a liar!~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.168.88.62 (talk) 02:24, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
Der Ling was a Chinese Bannerwoman. She was not a member of the Manchu Banners like she claimed.
