Spanish infanta by marriage
editWhy is she so if she was married with an Italian duke? Tonyjeff (talk) 13:04, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
- Because of the Carlist claim to the throne of Spain. ScarletRibbons (talk) 00:27, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Numbers in Ancestry Tree
editWhat do they mean? Some of the names have, for example, =19 after them. Is this some sort of code for the inbreeding that led Maria Pia to give birth to 6 disabled children? Just curious as I've never seen that before in any other ancestry trees. ScarletRibbons (talk) 00:29, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
ScarletRibbons, have you posted this to the right page? No family trees here. Boleyn (talk) 09:50, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I have posted this to the right page. I said ancestry tree, not family tree. Perhaps you have missed those on royalty pages. They're near the bottom and are generally collapsed until you open them. ScarletRibbons (talk) 04:25, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
There are no ancestry trees on this page. You would be better to post to an article on a royal or WP:Wikiproject Royalty and Nobility for a chance of an answer. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 07:40, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
I've figured it out after a bit of staring, & I was fairly spot on with my inbreeding assumption. The numbering is to direct you to another spot on the tree where an ancestor is the same more than once, & is showing up in different spots on it. Poor Maria Pia, no wonder she ended up with 6 mentally disabled children with all that repeated intermarrying & great-grandpas also being grandpas etc! Yikes.
Ah, I've just noticed the problem.....The Talk pg for Princess Maria Pia of Bourbon-Two Sicilies is inexplicably redirecting to the Talk on a disambiguation pg! How strange. Never seen that happen before. And it's not like there really even needs to be one because the other one is called Maria di Grazia of the same house. Can't see anyone typo'ing those two 2nd names. I've got no clue how to fix that glitch; do you? TYVM for trying to assist.....you must've thought I was hallucinating things! ScarletRibbons (talk) 02:56, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
