Tisane (talk) 00:05, 5 May 2010 (UTC) In light of the current climate of abuse of power by the police, the issue of who owns police departments is a very important one. This article failed to mention that private owners of police companies may hire racist police. Who will stop them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:190:4300:79F0:38AB:5008:BBDA:69E4 (talk) 21:47, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
MOVE PROPOSAL
editI am proposing this article be moved/re-named to "Private policing in the United States."
This article is not simply a list of short discussion or private police agencies within the U.S. It additionally discusses private policing as a concept within the U.S.
