The result of the move request was: moved. However, there is no consensus for a primary redirect. (non-admin closure) — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 14:33, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
PRO → Pro – A word is preferred to an acronym, per WP:DABNAME Charlie A. (talk) 19:06, 14 May 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. 何をしましたか?那晚安啦。 08:22, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 15:01, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- The top of that page says that "Pro is an abbreviation meaning 'professional'." Thus the disambiguation page says there is a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. If that is true, then "Pro" should be a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to Professional rather than a disambiguation page. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:43, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

- Yes, agree actually. Charlie A. (talk) 06:45, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- For clarity, does that mean PRO should therefore be moved to Pro (disambiguation), with a redirect from PRO, as there are still (word) Pros in the disambiguation list along with (acronym) PROs? A similar case would be The (disambiguation). Charlie A. (talk) 06:51, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

- Support the move, oppose primary redirect. A word can have a primary meaning in the English language, which happens to be an encyclopedic topic, but that does not necessarily mean that said topic is the primary topic of the word. We had this discussion with Talk:Madman before: if the word "madman" (either case) appears in random English text, it is most likely to refer to someone suffering from insanity (literally or figuratively), but most people searching for "madman" on Wikipedia are looking for some media work. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 23:13, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support "Pro" is a word thus seems preferred to the acronym. Crouch, Swale (talk) 08:50, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support the move to "Pro"; oppose primary redirect. Specifically, I support the move per WP:DABNAME , etc, but I oppose the additional possibility of making "Pro" a primary redirect to "professional" for reasons listed by User:King of Hearts above.
