The result of the move request was: Moved. King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 01:28, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Project CARS (video game series) → Project CARS – Should move as the series as whole is a primary topic over the games separately (WP:NCVGDAB). Same case as with Zxcvbnm and Dead to Rights move (and many others recently). Jovanmilic97 (talk) 21:36, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Not moved. Consensus turned against the move pretty sharply once it was discovered that "CARS" was in fact an acronym and not a mere stylization. (non-admin closure) — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 04:33, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- Project CARS → Project Cars
- Project CARS (video game) → Project Cars (video game)
- Project CARS 2 → Project Cars 2
- Project CARS 3 → Project Cars 3
– Unclear why we're shouting the word "CARS" in the page titles. It's hard to find sources given most search results are either primary sources relating to the games or are unrelated false-positives (ie. talking about motor industry R&D projects) but most sources I can find write the word "Cars" in normal title case (ie. Gamespot, Evo, NME, Autoevolution, Eurogamer, Car Throttle, PC Gamer). HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 15:24, 24 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 07:06, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Support in principle, but please note that one of those targets (Project Cars) does not redirect to the corresponding overly-capped title. Perhaps Project CARS should be moved to Project Cars (video game series) instead, or similar. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:14, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Not Necessary, the redirect was to the first game in this series and I have altered it to redirect here instead since it makes the most sense.--65.93.195.118 (talk) 22:37, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support Per WP:ALLCAPS. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 08:47, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose In the context of this game, CARS is an acronym/backronym for "Commuinity Assisted Racing Simulator", hence the capitalisation (source). It's written as capitalised on Gamespot, IGN, Metacritic, Top Gear amongst others, as well as the game's website, Steam, the Playstation Store and the Xbox Store. --A wild wild world (talk) 10:33, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- But there are clearly other sources that don't use the all-caps, and it's clearly an artificial backronym. — BarrelProof (talk) 23:08, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- @BarrelProof Project CARS (video game) definitively states that CARS stands for "Community Assisted Racing Simulator", and neither it nor its cited source mention that it's a backronym. If that's the case, the article should be updated. --Ahecht (TALK
PAGE) 19:12, 3 April 2022 (UTC)- So it's just a coincidence that the abbreviation of the name of this video game series about automobile racing happens to spell out the word "CARS"? — BarrelProof (talk) 03:39, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- Coincidence, no. Creative choice that makes sense within the game? Yes. The use of all-caps is not mere styling, but sets off the word as having a specific meaning separate from the normal word. A creative acronym intentionally chosen to spell out a common word that is relevant is still an acronym that should be in all-caps. oknazevad (talk) 19:03, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose per A wild wild world. CARS is clearly an initialism and should be kept as such. --Masem (t) 13:59, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per A wild wild world and Masem. It's a specific acronym in this case, not mere styling. oknazevad (talk) 19:03, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. I thought it was just a regular stylization, but then A wild world's comment explain it. 182.1.94.117 (talk) 03:32, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. On the basis on both A wild wild word, but also even without the detail it was kind of obvious this is an acronym for something other than just the word car. CaptainGalaxy 09:40, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- Comment If this is an acronym (and not a backronym per here), then it should be parenthetically in full in the lead. Cinderella157 (talk) 01:52, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
