Name change

edit

Project GNOME has been moved to Project Gnome. Gnome is not an acronym. (Leaflet (talk) 18:32, 28 February 2010 (UTC))Reply

Both spellings are correct. The names of Projects/Operations are often typeset in all capital letters, especially for projects classified as SECRET or TOP SECRET (classifications are also often typeset in all capital letters). Nicole Sharp (talk) 16:55, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Cavern dimensions

edit

The dimensions of the resulting cavern, "20 m (66 ft) wide and 50 m (164 ft) high", are incorrect, and not in the source given (http://pubs.usgs.gov/pp/0501b/report.pdf). I have adjusted the text with the dimensions given in a declassified film about the test (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFJ2MyWlXgs): "about 170 feet across and is almost 90 feet high." detonation depth

edit

Two different detonation depths are provided in the article here, but the official historical plaque states the depth as "1,216 feet". Nicole Sharp (talk) 16:57, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
