Holy See's property
It is not correct to state that it is property of the Vatican (if Vatican refers to the the Vatican City state). It is property of the Holy See, and these properties are therefore not a part of Vatican territory! It think (to avoid confusion) it might be better to move this page to Properties of the Holy See. If nobody minds I am going to move this article to Properties of the Holy See in one week. Gugganij 21:43, 13 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Buying islands in the Pacific
The article should maybe try to reflect on whether buying islands in the Pacific might procure a greater legal security to the Holy See. Such islands would presumably be listed along with other properties of the Holy See, which already include churches in Italy. The existence of small native populations in these islands might serve as a practical socio-political replacement to the Pontifical States, who were also known as the States of the Holy See. - After briefly searching the web and news sources, and finding absolutely nothing about the idea the Holy See is even considering purchasing an island, or anyone else who is proposing they do so, I believe this would fall under the topic of original research, which is not allowed by Wikipedia's policies (see WP:OR). Some corrections to the list
Not all of the sites in the list enjoy extraterritorial status. I changed the list accordingly. For sources: Lateran treaty and [1] Gugganij (talk) 17:08, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
Area
The Vatican is usually regarded as the smallest sovereign Nation by size. While I realize that the properties of the Holy See are not part of the Vatican, still it would be interesting to add up all the properties of the Holy See (including the Vatican of course) and compare the result to other micronations. --BjKa (talk) 12:18, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
The Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope
So the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope is operated by the Vatican City State. But does it own the telescope or the land on which it is located? Jeff in CA (talk) 01:12, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
