This page began as a redirect to the National Association of Realtors even though this is a UK professional association. Diderot08 (talk) 04:27, 8 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now that this article has been edited to be the more generic Propertymark rather than the previous NAEA Propertymark I'd like to suggest some edits to make it more accurate. As an employee of the company, I'm declaring a conflict of interest and making some suggestions for changes.

However, I have updated the logo on the main article to be the Propertymark logo rather than the NAEA Propertymark logo.

This talk page also suggests adding an infobox which I have suggested.

Opening paragraph suggestion

Propertymark (formerly National Association of Estate Agents or NAEA) is a membership organisation for estate agents (called real estate brokers in the US). It is based in and covers the UK. It is the UK's leading professional body for estate agents.[1] Its members practice across all aspects of property in the UK, including residential and commercial sales and letting, property management, business transfer, auctioneering and land.[2]
+
Propertymark (formerly National Federation of Property Professionals or NFoPP) is a professional body for the UK property sector. It has over 17,500 members that work as estate agents (called real estate brokers in the US), letting agents, commercial property agents or auctioneers and an accreditation scheme for inventory clerks called ARLA Inventories.
 • Reason for the change: Propertymark is not a direct replacement for NAEA Propertymark which was the original topic of this article. Also NAEA Propertymark still exists within the Propertymark itself for example when estate agents when they become a member of Propertymark will still become NAEA Propertymark members.

Second paragraph moves to new section:

 • Create a new section called 'NAEA Propertymark' to be placed under the membership section and update the wording.
Founded in 1962 by estate agent and entrepreneur Raymond Andrews,[3] the NAEA was established with the goal of upholding good practice and high professional standards in UK estate agency. This struck a chord with the industry at a time when there was little representation for estate agents and has allowed the Association to grow phenomenally over the years.

NAEA Propertymark (formerly National Association of Estate Agents or NAEA) was founded in 1962 by estate agent and entrepreneur Raymond Andrews[3], the NAEA was established with the goal of upholding good practice and high professional standards in UK estate agency. This struck a chord with the industry at a time when there was little representation for estate agents and has allowed the association to grow phenomenally over the years.
 • Reason for the change: As the main topic is now about Propertymark as a company, this should become a separate section to improve the flow of the article and ensure accuracy.
 • If you need a second reference for timings here is an old corporate video of NFoPP showing a timeline up until 2013 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=FNlEKjdFJ6Q

Propertymark sub-section becomes the second paragraph of the main article

 • Now the article is titled Propertymark the section with the heading Propertymark then becomes a duplicate. This content now fits much better as the second paragraph of the article. Potentially with a slight change of text
Propertymark launched in February 2017 combining Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA), Institution of Commercial and Business Agents (ICBA), Association of Professional Inventory Providers (APIP) and NFoPP Awarding Body into a single brand in order to achieve a greater consumer awareness.
+
The Propertymark brand was introduced in February 2017, bringing together five property associations—Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA), Institution of Commercial and Business Agents (ICBA), and Association of Professional Inventory Providers (APIP), as well as NFoPP Awarding Body. This consolidation was aimed to enhance consumer awareness by establishing a unified and recognisable brand.
 • Reason for the change: This now makes more sense to be situated here with the article being about Propertymark.
 • References for the change: You could use the links shared for the first change or the Propertymark about page - https://www.propertymark.co.uk/about-us.html
