Propst/probst is a german ecclesiastical title and the correct english word is provost which has an article. Propst (title) is an article about an ecclesiastical title, but it contains hardly any information about the title and is mainly a list of churches in Russia in 1914. It has one source which is an external link. I do not know if this homepage is a reliable source. The article is superflous and therefore redirected to the English name Provost (religion) and this comment is posted on both articles talk pages just in case the external link contains useful information and a possible source for later revisions of Provost (religion). Linking of Provost to Polish "Proboszcz"
editThe link is wrong, as "Proboszcz" in Polish means "Parson", not "Provost". It should be linked to "Dziekan (Kosciol katolicki, as "Provost" corresponds best to this position in the Polish Catholic church. The Polish article "Proboszcz", however, is linked correctly to English "Parson", French "Cure" and so on.
