Pseudolarix → Pseudolarix amabilis – Given that the genus is not monotypic, this article should be moved to the species title Pseudolarix amabilis, with a genus article left at Pseudolarix noting both the living species and the extinct Pseudolarix wehrii from the early Eocene of Western North America (Klondike Mountain Formation Allenby Formation), and late Eocene of Axel Heiberg Island. Kevmin § 15:45, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed, provided that either the genus article discusses the extinct species or it has its own article (less usual). Peter coxhead (talk) 16:30, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support current content and page history mostly pertains to the single living species, and this history and content should be associated with the title Pseudolarix amabilis. A new article should be written for content pertaining to the genus as a whole and the fossil species. Plantdrew (talk) 19:44, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
- I have already started a species article in my draft space for Pseudolarix wehrii @Peter coxhead: & @Plantdrew:.--Kevmin § 17:15, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
- As an additional note, there is at least one more fossil species, Pseudolarix japonica, from Miocene to Pliocene deposits in Korea and Japan.--Kevmin § 21:21, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
