Here is the discussion from my user page [ Brian Jason Drake 08:18, 5 June 2006 (UTC) ]:Reply

Hi, it seems that you originally created the pseudomonas flourescens article, including the following passage:

Heat stable lipases and proteases are produced by Pseudomonas fluorescens and other similar pseudomonads (Frank 1997) and cause milk defects such as bitterness, rancidity, fruity and cardboardy flavor, casein breakdown, and ropiness due to production of slime and coagulation of proteins (Jay 2000, Frank 1997, Ray 1996).

Can you remember what these references (Ray 1996, Frank 1997, Jay 2000) are? Web of Knowledge did not help me find them, but perhaps they are books rather than journal articles? If you did not write that passage, please if possible let me know where it came from! Many thanks, Samsara contrib talk 16:02, 7 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

In future, could you leave a link (pseudomonas flourescens) to make it easier to investigate? Brian Jason Drake 11:54, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
At the time of its original posting, I chose to ignore your comment, which is exemplary of everything that is wrong with the Wikipedia community. It is interesting you should bring it to my attention again on the very day of my resignation from this project. - Samsara (talkcontribs) 11:16, 17 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, somebody is going to have to find those references again, since the deleted page, Pseudomonas flourescens, that they apparently came from, does not seem to be preserved. - Samsara contrib talk 20:36, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pseudomonas protegens

edit

Some P. fluorescens strains (e.g. CHA0 and Pf-5) have been reclassified as Pseudomonas protegens (Ramette et al., 2011). I therefore suggest to update the P. fluorescens page accordingly (i.e. move content concerning the strains CHA0 and Pf-5 to the new page). PseudosAreGreat (talk) 22:14, 13 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
