Suggestion/Criticism
editThis is my first article that I started, so any suggestions would be welcome. Yanra36 (talk) 23:31, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
This seriously needs to be run through a spell-check/grammar-check program. Kobra (talk) 03:06, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Your summary is a bit too long & full of spoiler, you should look at other shonen jump manga related articles for getting the right length for your summary. I suggest you to not go further to where the psyren power are explained. Thanks for your works nevertheless, keep investing your time it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KrebMarkt (talk • contribs) 16:45, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
I have updated it until chapter 26. I must mention though that I am not an experienced wikipedia editor. So if anyone would make the language sound a little more appropriate for wikipedia standards, I would appreciate it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.194.225.69 (talk) 07:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
The Summary is full of spoilers, it needs to be revamped, a lot. Maybe some other day I'll put up a nice synopsis instead of a summary.Fxu1989 (talk) 07:40, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
I did it pretty fast, but it's short and to the point. It would be nice if everone could sya it without actually spoiling anything for the people who haven't read it yet. (i.e: Asaga's friend and Matsuri's encounter with THEM). Also fixed up the terminology, list of psyren chapters, and added a new image. mangahelpers.com has a psyren board if you're looking for a psyren community (under "Shounen"), join up :] Fxu1989 (talk) 08:39, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- I would have to assume that you are the same FXU that does work on Binktopia's Psyren scanslations. Thanks for redoing that "cliff notes" summary. Now it doesn't take up a ton of space. Spoilers are allowed on here, by the way, but that summary was getting out of hand. I guess someone needs to put the spoiler warning before the character section (I don't know how). Also, there are a few important characters who haven't been included here. I added Tenjuin Elmore yesterday and mentioned her husband and all the children so they probably won't need their own biographies yet. We need Kagetora on this and probably Nozomi Sugida should be taken out since he's clearly not important. I wanted him to live, too, but oh well... Kangarugh22 (talk) 14:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I just looked up how to do a Spoiler Warning tag and it seems as though Wikipedia no longer uses them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Spoiler Fine with me. :) Kangarugh22 (talk) 14:33, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes it's me :P .. I understand about spoilers, but what was before that was a chapter-by-chapter summary, and a block of text. It just didn't seem right. I put something basic so people get the idea. It can be further developed without going all the way like it was before... Maybe we can make make a page and list the powers of each one of them.. idk, I just want to expand this badboy :D —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fxu1989 (talk • contribs) 20:59, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
I can't find Inui Saborou/Amagi Miroku —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.0.224.43 (talk) 18:55, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- I added Amagi Miroku under W.I.S.E. Kangarugh22 (talk) 19:22, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Added info about Dholaki's Explosia being able to deviate PSI waves, about Shiner's teleportation abilities, added Illumina in the terminology, and added a mention to Kabuto's old and new personality. Unokpasabaxaki (talk) 17:04, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
The people could have a present and future section, so their changes can be noticable, and more visible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.0.134.69 (talk) 17:42, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
@Shao: "He creates a barrier to save Kabuto and Ageha in chapter 64." He is not even there! He is with Amamiya. Kyle is the one who created the barrier. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.0.224.5 (talk) 12:50, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
The barrier is still at the wrong place, Kyle's speciality is that barrier. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.0.224.150 (talk) 17:43, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Caprico is the one who inflicted the disease on Matsuri; the one that gave her those strange marks on her back. It's obvious right? Grana and Shiner had never met her, because when they fought against kagetora and her they didn't recognise her. Junas' ability has to do with blades and so he couldn't have given her the disease and we witnessed all of Dholaki's power so he's out. Most of all Caprico works in the biological division; which as shounen manga go, will inevitably have something to do with her psi. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.194.226.4 (talk) 07:14, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Terminology
editNatural Psychicer and Psychicer? The former has never been mentioned, and although the translations sometimes are loosely and then there is "artistic freedom", the person who translates Psyren to English said psychicer will be used to reference people who awakened their PSI without going to Psyren, and PSI-user as people who have awakened their abilities by going to Psyren; until the manga itself gives more information as to how they're called. I'm reverting it back to how it was since it what was given to us... Feel free to give your 2 cents.Fxu1989 (talk) 08:21, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
I've added the names in Japanese for the terminology. Should I also say that the kanji for Tavoo means forbidden human race? Btw, for PSI in jap it says "PSI - サイ" because in the raw "PSI" appears as a kanji, and "サイ" in the furigana. I don't know if that's right. Unokpasabaxaki (talk) 14:21, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
You should add "Illumina" to the terminology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.2.188.126 (talk) 14:26, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Added Illumina.Unokpasabaxaki (talk) 12:04, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Sourcing
editWe need to start including sources in this article so we can get rid of that ugly banner at the top. I've never really done sourcing in any of my edits, so I'll have to look it up. Anyone that knows how and can start putting in some chapter references for the information we have would be great. Kangarugh22 (talk) 15:16, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately Psyren isn't that famous. Not enough for it to be news announcing stuff, thus there are no sources. Everything on the page is currently out of the manga. Fxu1989 (talk) 10:18, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, how about citations? Kangarugh22 (talk) 13:45, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Uncertain facts
editI don't think we should add stuff that we are still unsure about. For example, it says "When Q transports someone into the future, events in the gap between times (the present and the time in psyren) seemingly occur as if the person involved simply disappeared." I know that's what most of you think as most likely, especially since Elmore said that Ageha & co just vanished, but Ageha himself thought that it would be because they were supposed to be killed in that round. And by the way, I thought that too, but I was proven wrong when someone pointed out to me that in Kabuto's uncle's diary there's a mention to him lending money to Kabuto. 83.53.130.84 (talk) 19:54, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Cleanup
editThe clean up I shall be performing soon to meet wiki-standards.
- Changing Synopsis to actual plotline of the series
- Re-arranging characters in the format of protagonist, antagonist, and other characters to fix In-universe
- Removing non-notable characters and original research about them
- Removing "plot" from the characters and focusing it on the characters instead of the plot
- Removing terminology
The following changes shall occur in 12-24 hours. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 08:50, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Done, the characters need to be trimmed down, rewritten, and expanded to include more of their personalities. The tone (writign style) needs to be fixed on the characters and short sentences merged. Etc "She is... She is... She is... She was..." The plot needs to be expanded to include some terms such as PSI. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 19:25, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Removed spoiler from opening paragraph.
editI had just read the first chapter, and wanted to know how much more of this manga there was. I was deeply disappointed in being spoiled with an enormous bit of info in the first paragraph. I changed it so it no longer spoils anything, although since I haven't ready any further yet, the wording could use some touch-up.
Just please don't put in another spoiler! —Preceding unsigned comment added by RufioUniverse (talk • contribs) 19:18, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- DO NOT remove content form an article on the bases that they are so-called "spoilers". This is a violation of Wikipedia's guidelines regarding WP:SPOILERS. Also, defining plot details as "spoilers" is a violation of Wikipedia's policies on verifiability and original research. —Farix (t | c) 21:12, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
