President

edit

I think that the system of being president and being the 'host-school' of the PSA for a particular year needs to be introduced into the article. Smbarnzy 10:34, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Changes

edit

I would like to see every trophy have its own page, with alist fo winners since its inception. Example is the Darlot Cup page, which is linked to Cricket, except it needs a list of winners like the PSA Swimming page has. Smbarnzy 01:13, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, sounds go Barnzy. Where are you getting the results from?--HamedogTalk|@ 01:26, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merge discussion per AfD

edit

Per the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PSA Athletics, the following articles need to be merged into this one:

Please discuss the best method to do this, merge the information into this article, and redirect all of the above articles to this one. Thanks! ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 03:43, 20 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP Perth and WP WA

edit

Why cant they be part of both? do they have t be part of only one? because this services both WA and Perth so i think it should have both? Smbarnzy 09:35, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Aquinas founded

edit

I see that the date of the above has been changed from 1937 to 1894, presumably to reflect the founding of CBC. I think this is stretching the truth, as the 1937 split formed an entirely new college, not just a renamed CBC. Indeed, CBC continued to operate at St Georges Tce from 1937 to 1961 when Trinity opened and CBC closed.

It's fine to say the Aquinas "traces its origins back to 1894", but anything more is possibly misleading the reader. —Moondyne 10:38, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think what the person is attempting to say is that Aquinas' membership extends back to 1894 - because when the schools split - it was they who took the records of The Terrace.
However - i think the founding should be 1938 - not 1937. The article states that it was indeed 1938, the split happened at the end of 1937 - but Aquinas didnt actually start educating young men until 38. But, i do see where moondyne is coming from;here the foundation stone was laid in 1937. Although, Aquinas would not have joined the PSA until 1938 - when the first sporting fixtures would have been played.
I think that the solution this this is saying that the school was founded in 1937 or 1938 (per discussion). But also metioning it either in the article (before all the records etc - possibly in history) or maybe having it as a note. Twenty Years 11:01, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
To be clear, I was referring to the table which has the unambiguous heading of "Founded". 1938 is fine. —Moondyne 14:54, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

TC, AC, CBC

edit

According to the minutes of the Public Schools Association (cited in the Aquinas article), in the eyes of the PSA, trinity and CBC have no relationship, whereas Aquinas and CBC do. The minutes state (along the lines of) "to note that CBC has changed its name to Aquinas College" when CBC Split in 1937/8, that is hence why Aquinas carries all of CBC's sporting records. To say that CBC formed TC and AC in the eyes of the PSA is somewhat misleading. CBC closed in 1961, and it wasnt until 1967 that TC came into the PSA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Twenty Years (talkcontribs) 10:19, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Extra Space At The Top

What's with that? Please fix it. Maybe there's a problem with {{Infobox Organization}}; if so please go there to fix it.68.148.164.166 (talk) 10:45, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Public Schools Association

edit

They guy who said it was "Private Schools Association" is cleary mis-informed. It is the public schools association because any school can join but they must meet the criteria like being an all boy school for instance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yordan93 (talkcontribs) 03:26, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Correction: It is the Public Schools Association, however it is made up of seven private schools, and no public schools. The change to Private Schools Association was never made by myself and I am mistaken, however the article is ambiguous. Panpanman (talk) 08:46, 19 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ok, i know it is made up of all Private schools but the rules state that any school can join but that have to make the criteria. Btw the article is not ambiguous.Yordan93 (talk) 13:15, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
