Disagree
editI disagree that this article shouldn't include descriptions of the ring conformations. If this section includes a description of the nomenclature (1C4 etc.) this has to be discussed in regard to each of the ring conformations shown. The ring oxygen is used as the frame of reference for these. So, while it may seem redundant - this is necessary for a complete description. --Glycoform (talk) 14:48, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Changes
editHey guys! Sorry if you don't like all the changes - I wrote this as a project for my carbohydrate chemistry class so I tried to include everything we learned about in class, including all the ring conformers and the nomenclature. I left the first part as a short summary so people who aren't interested in the extra details can just read up on the basic ring. I'm still finishing up some of the diagrams, but I'll get those up as soon as I can :) Mamorrow5 (talk) 18:35, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
