editThe description of the class of compounds known as "pyrazoles" includes the following: "Being so composed and having pharmacological effects on humans, they are classified as alkaloids although they are not known to occur in nature."
A quick search of the literature revealed this statement to be somewhat doubtful, as it appears that naturally occurring compounds containing the pyrazole template have been discovered. See for example, J. Nat. Prod. 1997, 802.

- That's right, the picture shows an unsaturated aldehyde (the first synthesis mentioned), the diketone is in the equation below. Markussep Talk 15:19, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
