Rename
editI've renamed this article to reflect the current name/use of this area to spare having three articles for the same place.
- the royal palace
- the house (1851-1941)
- the current use as a park
The article can be expanded to deal with all these three phases. MRSC (talk) 09:11, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Undo Please
editI think you have made a major mistake here.
Pirgo (Not Pirgo Park or Pyrgo Park) was a royal residence at which at least one major historical event is said to have taken place - the decision to re-instate the future Queens Mary and Elizabeth in succession to the throne. The article remains about the royal residence though there is now mention of some later buildings on the site in the 19th century. Pirgo was its name and it should keep it.
Please know that I spent many years hunting for Pirgo quite unaware of the current name for its one-time park.
The royal residence deserves its own item and not to be swept under playing fields or whatever
