The initiator described in the link is an EFI (exploding foil initiator) which is intended to produce a shockwave suitable for detonating high explosives. The preceding sentence on this page says pyro initiators are designed to 'not' cause a shockwave! I've been bold and removed it, but please put it back if there's a good reason for it that I've missed. Stonejag (talk) 07:50, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
