This Article is Original in Content
editI created this article in summer 2007. Since that time, several websites have "borrowed" my content and placed it on their spaces. I do not mind most of these because I want this content to be in the public domain.
I do object, however, to websites whose owners take my material and place their "copyright" on my intellectual property. [2] did just that. They should remove their false copyright or else remove my article. Kimballp (talk) 01:54, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Header of "Impetus" vs. "Impetus of QBS"
editThe section is about the impetus of QBS and seems better to be phrased that way, which I chose when I wrote the article originally. I hope that you will leave the header the way I wrote it unless you can explain why the deletion of the subject in the header is somehow to the advantage of the reader. Thank you. "Qualifications-Based Selection" does not need definite article "the"
editAs a noun phrase, "Qualifications-Based Selection," and, by extension, the phrase's abbreviation "QBS," has no need for the definite article preceding the phrase or abbreviation. The phrase is analogous to "Major League Baseball" as a noun phrase. One would not insert the definite article, "the," in front of MLB when it is used as a noun phrase. For the same reason, it should not be done to QBS used in the same capacity. Thank you. Kimballp (talk) 18:10, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
Removal of link to commercial website selling forms software
editSomeone added a new section to the article that discusses the existence of electronic forms that would allow firms to submit their qualifications and other information electronically to solicitors for professional services. While I (as the original author of the main article) have serious reservations that this new section on electronic submission of documents is truly worthy of inclusion as germane to the main topic, for the time being I am leaving it to other editors to consider. Though ambivalent, I am thinking that, perhaps, the new section does no harm.
That said, the new section contained a reference next to "Electronic Submittal Process (QBS)" that linked to a commercial website selling software forms. That reference was an inappropriate use of this article as a launching pad for a business. For that reason, I deleted the reference.
The deleted link's displayed text was "GovernmentForms.manager," and the address was to www.sf330.com. At that site, the site title is "GovernmentFormsSoftware" and the links are to www.enlightenedsoftware.com.
I kindly ask that this article on qualifications-based selection not be allowed to contain links to commercial websites or other businesses seeking to profit on traffic to this Wikipedia article by selling stuff.
If the author of the section on "Electronic Submittal Process" would like to create a separate article in Wikipedia on that topic, that might be a good thing. Kimballp (talk) 15:13, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
