I am only a layman, but I respectfully question this sentence: "Following the expiration of the residence term, the grantor status of the trust usually ceases, unless the trust is drafted in a manner to make the trust intentionally grantor following the expiration of the term" and I inquire as to whether the phrase "make the trust intentionally grantor" is correct. Thank you to the original editor of this subject.
