Why the caps?

Is Quality Engineering" the title of a book? Or a website? If so, it should be italicised. If not, why can't it be downcased as a generica concept? In addition, I'm about to downcase the section titles. Tony (talk) 15:26, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Narrow Interpretation

This definition of quality engineering is exceedingly narrow, and focused on one industry to the detriment of many others. In fact, this type of quality engineering is unusual as compared to "typical" applications of quality engineering that utilize various statistical and process tools. This entry would better be titled "Software Quality Engineering."

External links lead to some previously unexplained solutions. But "theory" at this page so poorly explained.

Narrow view

This article would lead you to think that Quality engineering is IT specific. It is not. I ended up here looking for information on quality engineering for the manufacturing sector. As the comment above says, this would be better described as Software Quality Engineering. It is far too narrow a view of an extremely widely used term. Functionally this page is useless unless you are talking about IT.

I propose this page is either rewritten to cover the actual topic or the content moved to a page with a better description. ☕ Antiqueight ^haver 11:24, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

The article is a poor translation of the German version

The article is a poor translation of the German article (also entitled quality engineering). (I've seen boilerplates at the top of some pages indicating this, but I don't know how to add one.) The article does not appear to reflect the meaning of the term in English at all. (German anglicisms often have significant differences in meaning to the English terms from which they are derived, especially in IT and related disciplines, and that appears to be the case here.) I would suggest that it should be deleted in whole or in part to allow someone with expertise in this area to start afresh.

I don't see that. For instance, "IT services are increasingly interlinked in workflows across platform boundaries, device and organisational boundaries, for example in cyber-physical systems, business-to-business workflows or when using cloud services. In such contexts, quality engineering facilitates the necessary all-embracing consideration of quality attributes" does not seem at all like a poor translation.
