editThis article looks alright. The problem is that it is about a topic that does not exist in this form, or at least under this name. "Quantitative comparative linguistics is a branch of comparative linguistics"? Not according to printed books.[1]. Please do not abuse Wikipedia to coin terms you would like to enter common usage. Actually, instead of merging the article, I believe it should be left standing and renamed into something compositional. Like "phylogenetic methods in comparative linguistics", because this seems to be what it is about. --dab (𒁳) 16:31, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
