Improvement drive
editI think there's plenty that can be done to improve this article. Here are some initial ideas:
- Add some images:
- energy plot for unbiased quantum well + wavefunctions
- calculated and observed spectra for unbiased well
- energy plot for biased QW + wavefunctions
- calculated and observed spectra for biased well
- Tidy up the theoretical description:
- Add in-line references to textbook derivation
- Check through the maths for errors
- Calculate the absorption energies with and without electric field
- Calculate the absorption coefficient
- More about excitonic effects
- Other effects such as Fang-Howard tunneling?
- Add a history section:
- Who was Stark? Who were the first investigators of the effect?
- Experimental validation?
- Practical applications (QCSE modulators) section:
- Applications of QCSE modulators
- Achievable modulation rate?
- Commercialisation? Uses in industry?
Feel free to add/edit the list above Papa November (talk) 13:27, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Quantum-confined Stark effect. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20100728030241/http://www.rle.mit.edu/sclaser/6.973%20lecture%20notes/Lecture%2013c.pdf to http://www.rle.mit.edu/sclaser/6.973%20lecture%20notes/Lecture%2013c.pdf
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
