WikiProject Schools
editThe school has impressive alumni, and is an old school, therefore rated as high-importantance within Schools. Victuallers 19:41, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Citation
editThere are many instances of weasel words, claims made without citation and questionable neutrality in the article, which I've tried to tag or neutralise. The article is also overly long and detailed, and broken-up and segmented in places; requiring clean-up. NoExcuses (talk) 23:00, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Removing clean-up and weasel words tags — originally instated in March 2009, over the course of almost two years users including myself have improved the page removing any unverified or incorrect information. ebygum (talk) 20:13, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Sports Protest
editWhat actually happened seems to differ depending on who you listen to. The sports staff say they never encouraged it, some students say they did, so I've edited the article to try and reflect the fact that nothing seems certain. Tomcakes 18:21, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Recent History
editWould it be possible for someone to elaborate on more recent (ie 1960's to present) history? The article seems to be lacking in this respect. 88.110.223.157 11:04, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism
editIt would appear that a user had vandalised the page, replacing the name of a head of house. Please be on the look out for such vandals, and also remember that information here is for the use of the general public, and so falsifying information can be very misleading.
Councillor Mrs Jean Bassett Room
editAn anonymous user seems to have removed a link from the page to the Councillor Mrs Jean Bassett Room. Please do not remove information without justification. If you feel that such a link does not deserve to be placed there, please discuss here first.
DJ Smart
editI removed the phrase "and has taken up the role wonderfully, as i believe this is an opinion and a non-biased fact. Jb2005 18:53, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Tone and references
editMore work is need on this article which appears to have been written or had involvement by students and/or staff that are associated with the subject of the article. It lacks references for statements and the tone of the article needs to be worked on to give it a neutral encyclopaedic view. --BSTemple (talk) 09:14, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Notable Old Ganians
editIf, as stated, Old Ganians are pupils, to avoid confusion the apparently notable teachers or ex-teachers would be better in another section. There should be inline cite refs to show association with the school otherwise names should be removed. The blue-linked articles could have such useful cited evidence but often they don't; if an asserted association with the school is not proved in a notable's article, and as Wikipedia doesn't self-reference, again the name should be removed from the list. I concur with BSTemple's view on this explained in a recent edit summary; this is a problem with most school articles with notable lists.
It's end of term again - the time when juvenile additions on school articles become rife. Acabashi (talk) 13:28, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
WikiProject Schools (2011-)
editI have begun rewriting the QEHS page in my sandbox as part of an effort to improve the quality — a number of large deletions have left the article rather bare and useless! ebygum (talk) 21:16, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

The article is at class C due to its size and information, but issues of unverifiable information must be addressed. --BSTemple (talk) 19:40, 26 March 2009 (UTC) |

November 2018 copyedit
editReassessed. Nowhere near a 'C' given its lack of reliable refs for OR text. Notables list is impressive as stated above, for the pre 1983 Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School and Gainsborough High School I suspect, but only four can be proved. It was given a 'C' in 2009 with a proviso that unverifiable information must be addressed... it largely hasn't. Acabashi (talk) 11:03, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
