Starring actors
editHi @-ink&fables and @Wheezythewave: per infobox documentation, the explanation on starring parameter is "The show's starring cast. Cast are listed in original credit order followed by order in which new cast joined the show. Character names, years, or seasons should not be included.
", and in broadcast credit it is not just Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won whose names are shown but the ensemble cast, that's why I added this diff but you two removed the names. So what your take on this? 98𝚃𝙸𝙶𝙴𝚁𝙸𝚄𝚂 00:02, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @98Tigerius. I appreciate you providing the documentation, but have you seen any korean drama wiki article that include the ensemble cast under starring? Wheezythewave (talk) 00:44, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Wheezythewave: yes there are actually like Squid Game, Duty After School, The Glory, Moving, and the upcoming Light Shop. Another is Pachinko (even though an American drama but mostly the characters speaks in Korean). Those series based the starring actors on opening credits. 98𝚃𝙸𝙶𝙴𝚁𝙸𝚄𝚂 01:02, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the example. The issue I see with this is that the aforementioned are streaming television series, as in, they're originals from streaming platforms. And most of them really are the main cast, just elongated. While the korean wiki article only includes the top two billing credits, personally, I think it is reasonable to include the main cast for this one. Wheezythewave (talk) 01:15, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

- @98Tigerius: Hello. This is the edit I made. We generally only list the main cast in the infobox. That is why I removed all other cast name other than the five main. Thank you. -ink&fables «talk» 12:12, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

- 2. The 6th Newsis Hallyu Expo (https://m.entertain.naver.com/article/003/0012725203)
- 3. Daejeon Special Film Festival (https://www.newscj.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=3181261) Hera98z (talk) 22:54, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- Done for Newsis Hallyu Expo and Daejeon Special Film Festival. Not done for Baeksang as Kim was awarded for his popularity not for his performance in the series, popularity award are always tied to the actor/actress's popularity anyway, and also failed WP:VERIFY and possibly WP:SYNTHing and/or WP:OR. Unless you are able to provide secondary independent reliable sources that explicitly indicates that Kim was awarded the Popularity Award for his performance in this series, otherwise, we won't be adding it per WP:VERIFY. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 12:02, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, can you also update on the following awards?
- 1. Asian Academy Creative Awards: They already won in the national category (national winners) and were also nominated for the international category, which is the grand final winners that will be announced on December 3-4.
- Here is an additional reference for that, along with ref [78]:
- 2. Seoul International Drama Awards: Crush OST "love you with all my heart" was also nominated for Outstanding Korean Drama OST along with BSS "the reasons of my smiles." The reference for this one is also the same for Soohyun’s and Jiwon’s nominations for popular actor and actress. They included the OST nominees there.

- I just want to let you know, if in fact the information related to the nomination of best actor/actress at the Seoul Drama Awards is not true, the organizers also responded to it. Even asking several fanpages to delete the news, so actually Soohyun was never nominated. The SDA winner was directly from the jury's decision without knowing who the nominees were. The source of the news from never is not true.. 103.47.132.58 (talk) 11:28, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
- @103.47.132.58 Do you happened to have reliable source to support "
the organizers also responded to it
"? As I find it concerning that there are such things happening. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 11:35, 7 October 2024 (UTC)- This is the official website of the organizer, they only share the nominations of ott dramas that compete internationally. If the best Actress/Actor K-drama immediately announces the winner.(https://www.seouldrama.org/eng/bbs/board.php?bo_table=webzine&wr_id=136)
- For the organizer to respond directly, I didn't find it (But the information has spread if the news is not true on fanpages or K-drama communities). Because some big accounts were DMed by SDA. 103.175.229.255 (talk) 12:31, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
- @98Tigerius What is your take on this concern raised by IP? I did some research as I thought that Citation #91 used here to support Best Actor for SDA is reporting wrongly however I find similar sourcing, in which they are reporting similarly to Citation #91 in that "there were 300+ filmographies being submitted ... for various nominations" in which Kim's Queen of Tears is one of which hence this is likely how it was misinterpreted as formal nomination. The nominations list released by SDA themselves on their official website doesn't support such nomination for Kim. Should we remove it? — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 13:48, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Paper9oll I also want to say similar to your reply but waited first for yours. And I think we should remove it on the grounds of maybe this discussion. What do you think? 98𝚃𝙸𝙶𝙴𝚁𝙸𝚄𝚂 [𝚃𝙰𝙻𝙺] 14:16, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
- @98Tigerius Yes agreed. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 14:19, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
