Spring, Summer?
editCan we get a photo of this tree in the spring or summer? It looks dead in the picture.
- I agree. It would also be helpful if the picture included some frame of reference so that we could comprehend the size of the tree. For instance, a person standing at the base of the tree would give us a sense of scale. --Wechselstrom (talk) 23:07, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Coordinates
editIs it possible to place the tree's approximate coordinates on the page so readers can view the location via Google Maps or other aerial mapping services? EnjoysButter 06:19, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
40.7529, -73.747835 - though I wonder whether we should show it on the main page (Only the very interested will see it here). My concern is that the Parks Department seems to be trying to keep it quiet. While I disagree with this decision, it means that the tree is not being monitored on a regular basis. Might posting its exact location (or close to it) lead to too many people visiting it? --Flintrhino (talk) 02:36, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Those coordinates are incorrect. 40°45′10″N 73°44′52″W / 40.7529°N 73.747835°W ~ PaulT+/C 17:32, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm. Those are the coordinates I gave and they appear on the page you linked to. If you put "40.7529, -73.747835" into Google Maps it shows you a spot very close to the tree location but not perfect. Another format is 40° 45′ 10.44″ N, 73° 44′ 52.21″ W. --Flintrhino 03:18, 5 August 2013(UTC)
