Queen's Quay (Toronto) → Queens Quay (Toronto) –
Street sign illustrated clearly shows it's "Queens" without apostrophe. 70.72.215.252 (talk) 19:44, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Agreed. I'm adding a rename-request tag to this section. Besides the street signs, the spelling without an apostrophe is also confirmed in Google Maps, street atlases of Toronto from MapArt (2008) and Pathfinder (1991) [although the latter does use the apostrophe in its index], and this Torontoist article. The other spelling can certainly be found in use, and maybe was preferred at one time (I don't know), but it clearly isn't now.
Side comment: it would be interesting to see the article discuss the spelling and explain which queen or queens the street was named after. --50.100.184.201 (talk) 07:20, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
I've moved the article on the basis that the streetsigns (the ultimate authority over the name to my mind) have no apostrophe. Canterbury Tail talk 11:56, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
