Why does the cathedral bend in the middle
editThe article states that it's because of a swamp, then later states that it was because of a tomb that shouldn't be desecrated. Neither is a particularly convincing argument (graves are constantly moved, as with St. Peter's basilica in Rome), but the two explanations are contradictory. --Vicedomino (talk) 08:17, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
Bending cathedrals
editCanterbury Cathedral also bends in the middle. --Vicedomino (talk) 08:31, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
a lot to do here
editthis article seems to have had little maintenance in a long time, and there's a ton of problems with it, particularly regarding the readability (it's far too long and detailed) as well as general formatting issues. i've made a small dent in the mess here by adding a history section and starting on deleting trivia, but there's still a lot to do. the article does not need a breakdown of every individual window, nor a section dedicated to each part of the building. i'm going to continue working on cleaning up this article, but if anyone can help or consult it'd be appreciated! @Vicedomino Sawyer-mcdonell (talk) 18:58, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
- in the last few hours, i've made massive changes to the article, including condensing the information, removing useless/uncited/poorly written information, and replacing images. it's still not the most incredible article in the world, but hopefully it's easier to improve for future editors. the biggest obstacle for me fixing it was the incredible length and terrible organization of the article, which i believe has been alleviated. i've updated the template at the top of the article to make it easy to see what still needs work. :) Sawyer-mcdonell (talk) 00:14, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
