Consonant phonology

edit

The consonant phonology in the table (from Modrow? Hajda? Someone else?) is quite different from the phonology Terry-itewaste uses (p. 28 of https://repository.arizona.edu/handle/10150/621357). I think it would make more sense to divide this into pre-extinction and revitalized, although I'm sure some linguist out there has some sort of standardized terms for this distinction. @Snowman304 Its source is Hajda (1990). I pretty much feel that this is a good source to use, since it's pre-revitalization. Although I am trying to get Modrow (1971) (or even (1967)) to see which info that source states. Fdom5997 (talk) 01:50, 23 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Fdom5997: Sure, I could have worded that better. I think it might make sense to have both phonologies in the article, given that they're different (e.g., Terry-itewaste doesn't include the labialized velars/uvulars and calls the uvulars "backed velar"). Or at the very least, we should probably note the differences under the current table. Snowman304|talk 16:51, 23 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
