Excessive genealogical table
editThe list of members is excessive, and I propose to prune it. WP:NOTGENEALOGY says "Family histories should be presented only where appropriate to support the reader's understanding of a notable topic". The inclusion of the names of non-notable remote descendants does not support an understanding of the Quincy political family, and dilutes the names that are notable. WP:LISTPEOPLE says that names in stand-alone lists typically need to meet Wikipedia:Notability (people)
There is also a issue with the privacy of the names of non-notable living people, see WP:BLPNAME.
I propose to prune the list to include only the following
- Notable people with linked Wikipedia articles
- The parents and spouses of notable people
- The children of notable people, unless they are likely to be still living.
- Other names necessary to connect notable people (e.g to link a notable great-grandparent to a notable great-grandson)
