editThe number (12) is surprising, as this was Régnier's first aircraft. A possible clue is in this earlier Les Ailes article which refers to the Régnier 1-2. Given that the intention was to build 2, 3 and 4 seat versions but that only the first was completed, perhaps the -2 stood for two seat.
