Autumn 1945 bombing raid
editSomeone might want to check whether Dresden was bombed in the autumn of 1945, as claimed in the part of this article that talks about Timo's injury and addiction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.118.88.16 (talk) 12:06, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
Succession
editWho said he succeeded as Albert as Margrave? We can't assume without source. His succession has to be defined in that period when Albert was Margrave or that he self-proclaim himself as successor. I fear that people are assuming he succeeded base on Albert's comment before he was Margrave and ignore a possible reconciliation between Albert and Alexander which I have seen some indication of [1]. I think we need to wait until something definitive like a German news article on Ruediger's declaration of succession or something along that line. --The Emperor's New Spy (talk) 07:58, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
Name: Ruediger/Rüdiger
editFrom Materialscientist's Talk page:
All I did was changing the name of "Ruediger, Margrave of Meissen" to "Rüdiger" throughout the page. I frankly don't see a reason why this "English" spelling of his name is used. If "ü" is a letter you dislike please propose to move Jürgen Klopp's page to "Juergen Klopp". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruediger,_Margrave_of_Meissen — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.110.129.66 (talk) 12:29, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)I'd support the change to Rüdiger too. (The point about Jürgen Klopp is largely irrelevant - we hardly ever take much notice of WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS arguments.) But Rüdiger, yes - it's not a BLP issue, just a spelling, and it's supported by all the German sources I checked. The page should, I imagine, also be moved to the correct spelling. Best wishes to all DBaK (talk) 12:47, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
- The use of ü in the name should be verified for every (German) individual, as Germans themselves use both ü and ue - I haven't checked the spelling for this particular person. My point was simpler - we should use the spelling of the article title, or rename the article. Materialscientist (talk) 20:43, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
- The refs I checked verified it enough to convince me. I've boldly moved it, and copied this discussion to here. Please feel free to revert me if convinced I'm wrong, and we can discuss it further there (here). Cheers DBaK (talk) 08:28, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
