– These subreddit titles are unambiguous, recognizable, and concise. Sometimes, these subreddits are used without the r/ in front of them, but they are precise enough to unambiguously identify them. I did not include subreddits where dropping the r/ would cause confusion. Interstellarity (talk) 00:08, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose generally, subreddits are referred to with "/r/" or "r/", and some of these could be confused with typoed versions of terms with spaces. There is a crypto called "buttcoin" [1] which would therefore engender confusion with the discussion board, and what is meant to the the topic of the article (aside from the fact that BitCoin is also called ButtCoin sometimes) -- 65.92.244.249 (talk) 05:28, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. Subreddits are usually referred to as either r/... or by saying "(sub)reddit ..." (or variations thereof). They are almost never referred to by just the subreddit-name without any qualifiers (e.g. "IamA subcommunity", "Reddit AMA", "his AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on link aggregation juggernaut Reddit", "Change My View subreddit", "the WallStreetBets Reddit community", "/r/WallStreetBets" etc. pp.). Per WP:COMMONNAME, we should not remove parts that are commonly used, even if the title would still be unambiguous and recognizable without them. Regards SoWhy 07:40, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. 162 etc. (talk) 15:54, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose. the "r/" is crucial to identifying them as subreddits. 〜 Festucalex • talk 07:49, 30 March 2023 (UTC)

First post?
editDoes anyone have a pointer to the first post? I think that would be a useful bit of information. -Reagle (talk) 15:24, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
