editThis article is in no way a stub. I usually don't argue and let people with better judgment do what they think is appropriate (after i removed the potential start article's stub tag) but seriously, this does not look like a stub. Please consider removing the stub tag. Tho in the end of the day if u don't want to its cool, just if u plan on improving it even further, try to keep in mind to eventually remove it.. hehe thanks...calaka 10:29, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Calaka, I have requested a reassessment, assessment needs to be done by people who are independent of the article, it probably will be rated as start class, but the complete lack of references is a bit of an issue for this article. Thanks, WikiTownsvillian 10:36, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply :). I look forward to seeing this article continue to grow. Later mate. calaka 10:46, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
I am changing the rating to a B as there is a fair bit in there now. To get to a GA rating you are going to have to see references and sources. The Units section is just a list, so there needs to be some introductory text to explain what a unit is, and and overview before you get to the list. You should be able to get a fair use image of the Arms. Also a couple of images for the post war era would be good. There could be more description of structures and facilities currently at the airport, as the article mostly concentrates on history and not on the part it now plays etc. GB 03:50, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
I added the historical text to this article, based on research I already had in hand. I then started to add references, but when I saw the coding involved, I decided life was too short. If anyone else wants to do it, I'm happy to provide the sources. I also have a few historical photos and plans that could go in. Peter Bell (talk) 08:54, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
