Sony Music Restructuring
editUnder SME's restructuring, the RCA/Jive group will be split up. The RCA Music Group will continue as is. We need to make a new page for the RCA Music Group. If you type in RCA Music Group or follow a link it takes you to the page for RCA/Jive Label Group. Can this be changed? --MusicGeek101 (talk) 14:27, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- Well, this is a start: RCA Music Group. It will need some work as the structure is solidified. I am working on editing the RCA/Jive Label Group page now to make it a thing of the past. Ibanez Guy (talk) 16:40, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Verity Music Group
editI believe that the Verity Music group is separate from the Jive Label Group. Its artists do not appear on the Jive Label group's website. Or is its operations separate from the Jive Label Group but still has them as a parent company? --Alextwa (talk) 15:38, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- yeah I'm not sure about the distinction anymore. It definitely was a part of the Zomba Label Group (as Zomba Gospel) and they both got renamed at the same time(to Jive Label Group, and to Verity respectively). They are certainly both owned by Sony. I have a feeling that perhaps the legal situation is that Jive is the parent (which is then parented by Sony) but that it is not something they bother to advertise probably because they figure no one cares or something. So basically... I still don't really know, hehe :)
Perhaps it would be wise to, as you say, to not assume that it is part of the Jive Label Group as advertised on their site. Maybe the specific relationship should just be mentioned in the body of that section, instead of in the little list where it seems to imply a different relationship. Just my thoughts. Cheers!
