RF module/modem

edit

Is RF module same as RF modem?? if yes, please make a way to obtain this page on searching for RF modem.

RF Modem and module are not the same though - you could make a modem using a module. I'll try to keep updating this page over the coming weeks eventually it should be a little more informative! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomasfaith (talkcontribs) 10:26, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

RF meaning

edit

I assume RF stands for radio frequency? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.217.202.38 (talk) 15:01, 25 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, RF is radio frequency; I clarified this in the text. Smithderek2000 (talk) 05:16, 10 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

I rewrote the opening paragraph, and removed the context tag, as the introduction is much clearer. Smithderek2000 (talk) 05:16, 10 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Missing word

edit

Second paragraph, third sentence, seems to be a word missing:

... to ensure that the sensitive <  ? > is not adversely affected.

I suspect that it should be "circuitry" but since I know next to nothing about RF module, I will leave to some one else to fix.

Thanks, I fixed it Smithderek2000 (talk) 22:57, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Comments and questions on the article

edit

1. In the "Transceiver modules section" the last sentences is incomplete and hanging.

2. The "System on a chip (SoC) module" section uses the word "packetisation".

Is that even a word? How about quantization or bundling or something better?

3. The "RF signal modulation" says "The detailed description, advantages and disadvantages are listed in the linked articles above".

Where are they?
