GA Review

Hello, I will be completing the GA review for this article. Overall I believe it's very well done and fulfills the Good Article criteria, but I have a few concerns/suggestions that I would like to see addressed or otherwise explained away before I promote:

• I recognize that the naming conventions for books are rather ambiguous, but would the article's title work better as "Race Against Time (Lewis book)"? See under "Standard disambiguation" for details regarding qualifiers, etc.
• In the book and the lectures Lewis cites a succession of disastrous economic policies by international financial institutions, like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, specifically the structural adjustment loans since the 1980s which require limited public spending on health and education infrastructure as a condition of loans, as a main contributing factor to the uncontrolled spread of AIDS across the continent. This is a gigantic sentence and I admit I became lost halfway through. Could it be either condensed or split?
• Book reviewer found the criticisms constructive: Is "reviewer" supposed to be "reviewers"?
• The book spent seven weeks at #1 on The Globe and Mail’s Nonfiction Bestseller list and won the Canadian Booksellers Association Libris Award for non-fiction book of the year and won Lewis the Author of the Year Award. Too many "and"s, I think; Lewis was awarded Author of the Year Award by the Canadian Booksellers Association? If so, how about "The book spent seven weeks at #1 on The Globe and Mail's [note: needs italicization] Nonfiction Bestseller list", period, and then somehow clarify the last part.
• I'm guessing that "IMF" in the "Content" section is referring to the International Monetary Fund, which is linked in the lead. I suggest adding {IMF} after this mention in the lead to clarify.
• His eyewitness accounts are candid and vivid... although I assume that "his" is referring to Lewis, it's ambiguous here because the previous sentence's subject was the book itself.
• He writes from an idealist perspective and despite the anger and underlying sense of guilt, he remains optimistic. This is odd, mainly because Lewis wrote the book, past tense. Perhaps "The book is written from..."?
• While he was a professional diplomat, his memoir-style reflections on specific people, such as Michel Camdessus, Carol Bellamy, and Thabo Mbeki was called undiplomatic. Since "reflections" is plural, shouldn't it be "were called"?

Overall very good work. I found it easy to follow and interesting, although I admit I hadn't previously known about the lectures or book. I'll put the article on hold for the time being, so let me know when the above suggestions have been addressed and I'll take another look. María (habla conmigo) 16:50, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for reviewing. I made a few fixes now. I intend to soon revamp the intro which is lagging behind in the development of this article. On its name, it is my understanding (from Wikipedia:Naming conventions (books)#Subtitles that it should be "Race Against Time (Lewis)". maclean 00:51, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
