There's a well-written segment on the rates of infection, hospitalization, and death currently under "Health Risks"; this should be included as a second lead paragraph. The infection rates should also be updated using one of these sources:

Be sure to cite both their data on unequal numbers and their conclusions regarding causality.

The vaccine data should be dated using "As of April X, 2021" since the figure is likely to shift over time. It would be interesting to cite various experts regarding their explanation of this racial disparity.

I plan to focus my discussions heavily on the Social Determinants of Health domains, using that conceptual framework to underscore my proposed edits. Overemphasis on Nutrition?

Thank you to the authors for their diligent and thoughtful work on this article.

I think there is perhaps an overemphasis on nutrition as a driver of comorbidities as opposed to other factors e.g. SES, lack of access to healthcare, lack of research.

Happy to add more meat to the section on comorbidities and the controversy around it if people agree. MarkovChainsaw (talk) 21:45, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
