I would really like to keep the sole image of Rafael Hernandez in the infobox because it reflects how the Puerto Rican people and his fans remember him during his years of famee. Besides the article is about him and not about him and his brother during WW I. I understand the non-free verses the PD issues involved, but since the image contains a "rationale" for usage and it is the more proper one to be used in the infobox. I am asking that we should reconsider and let this one stay. Thanks Tony the Marine (talk) 06:56, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

We can crop his brother out of the PD photo, and use the resulting image in the infobox. I understand and agree that the non-free photo is technically and artistically superior, and it captures how the artist liked to be seen, But unfortunately I don't think we can ignore WP:NFCC#1 here. --damiens.rf 15:18, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I for one argue that the image meets NFCC#1, as it illustrates the subject in the period of his popularity - rather than just the subject itself. If you want to place the cropped version of the picture from before the subject was notable in the inbox, and the picture from the period of notability in the appropriate section, I have no feeling one way or the other. But please don't say that NFCC#1 is being ignored, because it is not being ignored. --Cerejota (talk) 21:30, 20 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
