In January 2020, I tried to travel by train from Bangkok to Phnom Penh. Thai Railways eastern line always ran to Aranyaprathet and now has been extended by some kilometers to the very Cambodian border at Ban Klong Luk. I walked to the railway station in the adjacent Cambodian border town Poipet, but there was no train. I was recommended to take a bus to Sisophon, 50 km away, a charming little town. Here I had to spend two nights before I could board the train to Phnom Pen eventually. It is quite comfortable, with aircon, but incredibly slow: about 20 km/h average, so it took a whole day to get in Phnom Penh. Perhaps on other days it does hun from the Poipet border town. I'd definitely recommend the train in Cambodia - unless you are on a tight schedule. Rbakels (talk) 14:09, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
