editDo you know when and where first refereshment room was opened? It is said that it was Grand Junction Railway's temporary Vauxhall, maybe 1837, although the earlier example would be Gart- sherrie Inn, from 1832.[1] OccultZone (Talk • Contributions • Log) 05:01, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- As you can tell by the nature of this article, my access to RS on the matter is limited. As an example, I cannot open that link. I would appreciate if you could contribute, if you have more information. I know that railway refreshment rooms have a long and illustrious history in Britain and the Commonwealth. It seemed odd that we had no page on the subject. RGloucester — ☎ 13:34, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, whenever I see any chances of disagreement, I just use the talk page first. Since you had recently created and I came here through Special:NewPagesFeed, I was myself amazed that there was no article about this very common subject until today.
