editI added a few citations and quotes and made some other edits. I also was not able to find a source for Rainer having lymphoma as well as a brain tumor, so I removed the reference to lymphoma. Spiffulent (talk) 04:30, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
I just placed a stub in the /Temp page. Note that the link in the copyvio warning leads to the talk page, not the /Temp page itself. --Lazybum 16:51, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
East Berlin, Germany That is totally nonsense!!!!!!!!! The city is Berlin - the country is or better was DDR or GDR(in english). Maybe a city called East Berlin exists somewhere in the USA I don't know but it never did existed in Germany. Only the western part of Berlin was called West-Berlin. But West-Berlin was neither East Germany nor West Germany (BRD or in english FRG) but a third german state with a so-called "Sonderstatus" ("special status"). People of East-Berlin had a east-german id-card like citiziens from everywhere in the GDR, people of every city or village in West Germany had the same west german idcard, but people from West-Berlin had a so-called "Behelfsmaessigen Ausweis" because they did not belong to any of the two Germanys (they were not even allowed to vote the west german parlament). The offical (east)-german reading was Berlin capitol of the German Democratic Republic. Since he was a citizen of East Germany when he was born his birth place got to be Berlin, GDR (Eastern Germany)
