capitalization
editon the official site I can only find the name without any caps. Proper capitalization should be Raison d'Être.--MarSch 08:47, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- So if on official site it is written in lowercase then that is right name of the project, isn't it?--218
- Sorry for being unclear. I meant that either there should be no capitals per the official site, or the capitalization should be Raison d'Être. So in either case the current Raison D'être is not correct. The official site is not very explicit about it though. --MarSch 13:52, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- whoever did the site probably aint familiar with the english language. the capitalization should be ignored --RavensIllusion 08:30, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- It looks like you "aint" familiar with the English language either... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 63.215.29.113 (talk) 23:33, 6 March 2007 (UTC).
- This isn't really a place to ameliorate English of others, nor to belittle it. --BiT 13:50, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

- I've put in a request to move the page to the Raison d'être. As to how the Swedish band capitalises the phrase is irrelevant to the title of this page, this page should use the standard French capitalisation. --The Wilky Bar Kid 13:53, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
how can a band, swedish or otherwise, have a sole member? how can it then be a band?
- Hah, you make a good point! I don't know-- I supposed you would just consider it a musical alias.
cant we get a handy-dandy pronunciation section? :D —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.7.108 (talk) 02:34, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Also in Chobits anime
editThis is also a song sung by Rie Tanaka for the anime series Chobits (first ending theme, episodes 1-13): Chobits media information - Theme Songs I'm not sure how to list that on this page, though...Autocon 02:39, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Who cares? You can't go listing Anime references to every common english expression! Raison d'etre has been in common use in english for a long time, and I don't think the existence of some Anime cartoon using it is significant enough to clutter the page of this entry. No REAL encyclopedia would document these things, and that Wikipedia does simply reminds readers of the type of nerd-centric bias of the cite. This should be avoided. 24.4.94.214 (talk) 10:23, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
That's quite mean. Wikipedia is not just any encyclopedia. It's supposed to be a place wherein you can find anything and everything. I'm sure a cross reference would not hurt. There is no need for you to spite the very behavior that has led to Wikipedia's unique contribution to the world of encyclopedias: Its encompass-ability. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.248.32.117 (talk) 06:50, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- It sounds to me that someone (^^) has a bias against "anime cartoons." In my general opinion, if a song, or the band/show producing the song, is worthy of its own page (meaning there is something to be written about it using reliable sources at the least) then it should be included on lists like this. editIs this really a relevant addition? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.216.170.104 (talk) 21:03, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
No link to main article
editThis disambiguation page tells the main meaning, then tells alterate meanings. For each alterate meaning, there's a link to the page for that topic, but there's no link to the WikiPedia page for the main meaning. I have no idea how to find that main page. 198.144.192.45 (talk) 19:43, 24 February 2011 (UTC) Twitter.Com/CalRobert (Robert Maas)
