Garr won one of baseball's early arbitration cases. This might be worth adding to the article; I am not familiar with the details, simply noticed this fact in the arbitrator's obituary: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/22/nyregion/22schmertz.html?_r=1&ref=obituaries .
