edit"Allah Kabir met Prophet Moohamd and showed him Jannat. And there is no evidence of fasting giving spiritual benefits in the scripture of any religion.[66]"
The Prophet's name is Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the citation doesn't support the claim that fasting provides no spiritual benefits

Hi there, the date needs to be changed
editThe date of start of Ramadan needs to be changed, from 22nd March to 23rd March. Thank you if someone changes it. 114.29.226.43 (talk) 10:52, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- The period technically starts at sunset the day before the first full-day of fasting, I believe. Iskandar323 (talk) 11:25, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

Please add the “رمضان“ under “Kashmiri” language. I see there are many languages but Kashmiri is missing. Kashmiri people who observe Ramadhan are all around the globle. Thank you. 2405:201:5503:C108:F552:86B4:8F6C:7E61 (talk) 00:37, 24 March 2023 (UTC)

Redundancies and long-winded writing (part 1)
edit"Exemptions from fasting include those traveling, menstruating, severely ill, pregnant, or breastfeeding. However, Muslims in these categories may still choose to fast in order to satisfy their spiritual needs, even though it is not recommended by hadith." --- I suggest writing "Exemptions from fasting may include those traveling, menstruating, severely ill..." and then cutting the second sentence. Then it would be obvious that anyone who wants to fast can always do so. The business about spiritual needs is not for us to decide (many religious actions are not motivated by "spiritual needs") and should be deleted in any case. --Melchior2006 (talk) 14:36, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

Redundancies and long-winded writing (part 2)
edit"In addition to abstaining from eating and drinking during this time, Muslims abstain from sexual relations and sinful speech and behaviour during Ramadan fasting or month." Since we had "during this time" in the first part of the sentence, it is redundant to state "during Ramadan" at the end of the sentence. I suggest cutting the long-winded repetition. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 14:40, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

Redundancies and long-winded writing (part 3)
edit"Muslims believe that Ramadan teaches them ... sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate" -- then we have at the end of the sentence: "fasting helps instill compassion for the food-insecure poor." Since "less fortunate" was at the beginning, "food-insecure poor" at the end is redundant. I suggest cutting the long-winded repetition. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 14:43, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
