Hey Physdragon: Thanks for this information. This is all still quite confusing to me, so I was hoping to start with making a few requests to update the Randy Jirtle website - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randy_Jirtle. You state that "personal website and CV are not appropriate references for a wikipedia article." You can delete references [2] and [3] if you think this is appropriate.
If you think new references should be included, I request the addition of this URL as a reference (https://www.engr.wisc.edu/alumnus-randy-jirtle-receives-2019-alexander-hollaender-award/) cite it for both references [2] and [3] since at the bottom of the article it clearly states my present university affiliations. Then you can simply add this new reference, and cite it in the website.
Alternatively, for reference [2] you could add the URL (https://www.wisc.edu/directories/person/?q=Randy%20Jirtle&email=rjirtle@wisc.edu&savedQuery=jirtle&returnPath=/directories/), and for reference [3] you could add the URL (https://bio.sciences.ncsu.edu/people/rljirtle/). The thing I don't like about this approach is that my University email addresses are on these directory links, and I would just as soon NOT make them easily available through this website. Nevertheless, it does provide you with clear documentation that I am presently on the faculty at both Nc State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Thank you for considering my request for these two changes.174.109.28.70 (talk) 14:17, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
- I have replaced the two instances of the personal website being used as references, and effected a general cleanup of the promotional wording and content, including text which was insufficiently paraphrased from the source material. Regards, Spintendo 15:23, 27 December 2019 (UTC)

I would appreciate it if you would determine if the changes I have requested below are appropriate, and making them if possible. I may still not have the appropriate format for making changes, but I hope you will be able to understand what I would like changed. Thank you for your patience.
