US Air Force Photo was deleted

edit

Did anyone notice the US Air Force photo linked here was deleted because the US Air Force public domain photos are not good enough? What a shame. --Colputt (talk) 21:48, 19 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Engine Displacement

edit

I scanned a bit and searched a bit, but I can't find the displacement of this engine. Does anyone know? With a good reference? Rainbow-five (talk) 18:59, 12 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

The 770 in the name indicates cubic inches rounded down or up to a multiple of 5. In the Specifications section, it lists Displacement, which says "773 in³ (12.6 L)". - BilCat (talk) 19:52, 12 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

IV-770

edit

Wasn't it an inverted V-12? Why wasn't it designated IV-770 (see United States military aircraft engine designations). - (ZLEA 13:30, 11 January 2017 (UTC)) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZLEA (talkcontribs)
