Other Organisations

edit

I'de like to see other SJA organizations add in their rank schemes; this should be a single page with all countries on it. Joezasada 21:57, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

NHQ Review

edit

I have altered the wording slightly so it is less aggressive.

Correcting Rank Pictures

edit

I wonder if anyone could correct the broken images that currently show. It looks like the & in the pictures is what is causing problems, if there is a way to change those & to the word AND it may correct the issue. However, I am not sure on how to correct that. Corrected

edit

After playing around with the images a bit, I was able to isolate the issue (The Ampersand symbol "&") and re-uploaded images to files that work. Testing confirmed that it works Medic3348 18:03, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

England

edit

I have added the Country Structure for England and the Islands, however as a new user I am unable to upload the files to show the ranksliders. I agree, this should be one page for all countries. Once I am able to, I will uload the imaes. Mackied 11:45, 26 May 2008 (BST)

Rank Slide Pictures, and England's Structure

edit

The England structure is looking a bit worse for wear. I've corrected the grades as follows:

- One pip = Grade 6 - Two pips = Grade 5 - Three pips = Grade 4 - One Crown = Grade 3 - One Crown, One pip = Grade 2 - One Crown, Two pips = Grade 1

However im unable to upload images as im a new user, and the grades 2 and 5 images are totally missing. Can someone correct this, as i dont know how! Jrooney (talk) 13:17, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Alignment with army-equivalent ranks

edit

The line-up with the army ranks vs. English ranks isn't quite right. Deputy or Assistant Commissioner should be the same as Grade 1 = Colonel. Grade 2 = Lt Col. Grade 3 = Major. Grade 4 = Captain. Grade 5 = Lt. Grade 6 = 2nd Lt. You could go a lot higher and start looking above Commissioner grade; national officers such as Chief Officers and the like have equivalent grades. However, the comparisons drawn are arbitrary - how many Brigadiers does the army have compared to how many Commissioners SJA have?!Jungle expat (talk) 13:23, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Dec2013-Mar2014 rank structure changes

edit

In the process of updating to reflect the new "simplified" rank structure; template changes to come later --SunsetTapestryBaboon (talk) 14:45, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sunset - unfortunately you do need to cite a reliable source when you add information to Wikipedia, so we can verify it is true. As you didn't do this, I'm afraid I've had to revert your addition. Thanks for contributions, and if you have any questions please drop a note on my talk page. Thanks, Acather96 (click here to contact me) 16:29, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Re-edited with proper sources, also created a new template that can be switched to when the new system gets rolled out properly. --SunsetTapestryBaboon (talk) 20:50, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
That looks great - thanks for your work. I'll try and work on this article too in a bit. :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 22:05, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
