The first sentence of the article is obviously not intended to mean what it says. "Saint Raphael of Brooklyn ... was born ... of Damascene Syrian parents of Greek Orthodox parents." My guess is that it should say "... was born ... to Damascene Syrian parents of Greek Orthodox belief." But I really don't know, so I'm not going to correct it myself. It would be appreciated if you could explain those changes and provide relevant sourcing (or explain where material can be found in present sourcing).
