Overly specific subsections

edit

Most of the lower sections in this article are not suitable for wikipedia as they are not general with regards to the name of the page Rare Event Sampling.

These include 'Generation of trajectory fragments', 'Choice of progress coordinate', 'Time dependence', and 'Landscape methods'. These sections (other than 'Landscape methods') only cite a few of the methods mentioned above methods and give fine details about those specific algorithms. The first paragraph accurately categorizes this article as an "umbrella term" and the algorithms themselves need not share any particular details. The article should be specifically about the problems related to rare event sampling and not the individual methods such as generating trajectory fragments and choosing progress coordinates which don't uniformly apply to the other methods.

A general discussion of how the methods are alike and different may be useful however, but I doubt that any single author can do this without a significant citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Salotz (talkcontribs) 23:55, 22 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
