Rasmus Carl Staeger → Rasmus Carl Stæger – Subject's surname is spelled with the ligature æ in Danish-language sources, e.g. Dansk Biografisk Leksikon and gravsted.dk. It's not really clear to me if "Staeger" is actually the generally accepted English-language spelling of his surname, or whether English sources just couldn't type the ligature æ, or (if they're recent) might even be copying English Wikipedia (such as in the case of Zobodat possibly...). This also appears to me to satisfy MOS:LIGATURE given the Danish-language personal name, unless I am misusing that guideline. Monster Iestyn (talk) 03:02, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom, and because WP uses ligatures when they belong there. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 20:17, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
